FPCCI Delegation Meets Governor Punjab Baligh Ur Rehman

Lahore: A delegation of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) led by Muhammad NadeemQureshi, Regional Chairman, held a meeting with the Governor of Punjab, Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman, here on Saturday at Governor House Lahore. The FPCCI delegation presented suggestions for the problems facing industry and trade.

 

Governor Punjab Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman assured the delegation of the FPCCI to resolve the problems and said that the business community’s role is very important in the development of the country. The government’s responsibility is to provide a conducive environment for a business.

 

He further said that Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail had been discussed implementing the government’s decision to eliminate sales tax on solar, which will be processed soon.

 

Governor Punjab said that we would also try to eliminate the sales tax on the seed. The cost of business has increased drastically. The government will play its role in providing facilities to the business community. The cotton crop is very important for the betterment of the economy, he added.
