Karachi: Sindh High Court (SHC) has sought arguments from Election Commission (EC) and others on next hearing of case pertaining to alleged rigging in NA-241.Petition against transferring election petition of PTI leader Khurram Sher Zaman regarding alleged rigging in NA-241 came up for hearing. .The court inquired where is Lahore High Court (LHC) decision about amendment in procedure for establishment of Election Tribunal.The counsel for petitioner said that court maintained regulating election tribunals falls in power of jurisdiction of high court.The court remarked first of all we will see this matter falls in our power of jurisdiction or otherwise. Tribunals are established in consultation with chief justice of high courts..The court remarked Election Commission (EC) does not fall in the administrative power of jurisdiction of high court. Court does not interfere before establishment of election tribunal.In reply to it the counsel for the petitioner said transferring election petition is no t part of election process. Therefore, it falls in jurisdiction powers of court.Acting Chief Justice SHC remarked the process for selecting judges on the basis of likes and dislikes should come to end.Acting Chief justice said there should be trust on judges otherwise this system will not run. Now new process has been started. After filing reference against judge registrar is asked that our cases be not fixed before this judge.Ali Lakhani advocate counsel for the petitioner completed his arguments.The court adjourned the hearing till May 8.
