The 26th aid convoy for Gaza from Alkhidmat Foundation arrives in Jordan

Karachi: A 40-ton consignment of relief goods from Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan for the war-affected people of Gaza has reached Amman, the capital of Jordan.On behalf of the people of Pakistan, Alkhidmat Foundation dispatched the relief items from Karachi for the oppressed Muslims of Palestine.According to Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, President Alkhidmat Foundation, the aid-sent in collaboration with the Government of Pakistan and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)-includes 20 tons of medicines, 5 tons of hygiene kits, and 15 tons of tents.He said Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan had planned to send 900 tons of relief goods via air cargo during the holy month of Ramadan for the besieged and affected people of Gaza. However, due to the closure of all border routes through Egypt and Jordan, the aid could not reach Gaza during Ramadan. The delivery of this aid has now been made possible through continuous diplomatic and administrative efforts by the Government of Pakistan, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakist an, and the Royal Medical Services of Jordan, he added.Dr. Hafeezur Rehman further stated that preparations have been completed for the dispatch of the remaining 900 tons of relief goods stored in Alkhidmat Foundation's warehouses in Lahore and Karachi. In the coming days, this aid-comprising medicines, tents, tarpaulins, sleeping bags, and canned food-will be sent to Gaza in phases through 6 to 7 aircraft via Jordan and Egypt, he said.Previously, with the support of the Government of Pakistan, NDMA, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, and the Royal Medical Services, Alkhidmat Foundation had already dispatched 3,800 tons of relief goods worth 6 billion Pakistani Rupees to Gaza via 19 aircraft and 4 cargo ships through Egypt and Jordan, he concluded.
