ISLAMABAD: As many as 17 persons have died and 38 got injured in monsoon rain in two provinces of KP and Punjab.

This was said in details released by NDMA in respect of damages caused by monsoon rain during the last 24 hours.

Rainfall is likely to hit upper areas of river Sutlej and river Chenab during 24 hours.

The monsoon rain caused damage to 15 homes in Punjab and KP.

Torrential rains in different parts of the country are feared to trigger urban flooding. Intermittent rain is continuing in Lahore. The low lying areas are inundated. The passersby are facing difficulties due to accumulation of water on roads particularly in Awan town, Hassan town and Qazi town.
