LAHORE: Petition has been filed in Federal Shariat Court (FSC) Lahore Registry seeking revocation of law on seeking permission from first wife for second marriage.The petitioner has taken the plea that as per constitution of Pakistan no law can be enacted against Islamic principles. As per constitution any anti Islam law can be challenged in federal Shariat court.It has also been said by petitioner that as per research 10 million women above 35 are waiting for their marriage in Pakistan.The court should declare the law of seeking permission from first wife for second marriage besides nullifying it.Law ministry, Council for Islamic ideology and others have been made respondents.
