ISLAMABAD: Government planning to increase the rates of gas for the consumers of Sindh, Baluchistan from the next financial year. On the request of Sui Southern Gas Company’s the price of gas will be increased from July 1, 2024.

The company has demanded an increase of Rs 324.03 per mmbt in gas price. And also requested to fix new average gas price of Sui Southern at Rs.1740.80.

Sui Southern estimated revenue shortfall is Rs 79 billion 63 crore. The revenue shortfall in terms of local gas has been estimated at Rs 56 billion 69 crore. The shortfall of RLNG is estimated at 22 billion 935 million rupees.

OGRA will hear Sui Southern’s request tomorrow in Karachi, a hearing will also be held in Quetta on March 20 on the request of OGRA.
