Sargodha: Naib Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaquat Baloch has said that Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan is actively struggling for the political and economic stability of the country and possesses the capability to steer Pakistan out of its current crises. He stated that the ongoing nationwide membership campaign is an important part of this broader national mission.
Liaqat Baloch expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremonies of membership camps organized in Bhalwal and Sargodha. On the occasion, Dr. Tariq Saleem, Owais Qasim Tala, and other leaders also addressed participants.
Liaquat Baloch said that Jamaat-e-Islami enjoys recognition, credibility, and public support throughout the country, and people are familiar with and appreciate the party's ideology and services. However, he stressed the need for the party leadership, youth, workers, and women to actively participate in the field with renewed passion and commitment to make the membership campaign successful. He expressed confidence that the campaign would prove historic and would lay a strong foundation for what he termed an 'Islamic revolution' in the country.
Criticizing the government, Liaquat Baloch questioned the purpose behind the proposed 28th Constitutional Amendment, saying that after the controversial effects of the 26th and 27th constitutional amendments, another amendment introduced secretly would not be accepted by the nation. He asserted that the country cannot be run through force and coercion. He further claimed that democratic norms in the country have weakened, the independence of the judiciary has been undermined, and the fundamental rights of citizens have been curtailed.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Tariq Saleem said Pakistan is currently facing severe crises in education, employment, justice, and the economy, while corruption, inflation, and exploitation have made life increasingly difficult for ordinary citizens. He urged the public to support corruption-free leadership under the 'Badl Do Nizam' movement and become members of Jamaat-e-Islami to help bring about meaningful change.
Dr. Tariq Saleem emphasized that people should rise above personal interests and hereditary politics and choose honest and capable leadership capable of steering the country out of corruption, injustice, and economic decline. He concluded by saying that Jamaat-e-Islami's doors are open to all citizens who seek a fair, transparent, and welfare-oriented system in Pakistan.
