Peshawar: Petition has been filed against the rising price of petroleum products in Peshawar High Court (PHC). Energy ministry, NEPRA, OGRA, ministry of petroleum and others have been made respondents in the petition.Chief secretary KP too has been made respondent. The petition said Ending and overcoming energy crisis is responsibility of federal government under article 199 (1) of the constitution.The petitioner has taken the plea that controlling not the prices of petroleum products is violation of basic human rights. Business and daily life is being affected for not controlling energy crisis.The petition said uninterrupted supply of electricity, gas and petrol be ensured , rising prices of petroleum products be controlled and uniform system of billing be implemented.
